The Chancellor Willy Brandt Foundation and Humboldt University (Berlin) have joined forces to initiate a co-sponsored international series of lectures which is designed to resonate well beyond the borders of Berlin: the
Willy Brandt Lecture. Once each year an outstanding personality of international renown from politics, science, economics or culture is invited to deliver a lecture in the Auditorium Maximum of Humboldt University. With reference to Willy Brandt’s legacy, the lecture series deals with historical and political issues which are not only of primary significance for our present and future but also affect our understanding of the past.
