On 12 November 1930 in London a round table conference on solving the “Indian issue” is convened. Since Great Britain does not want to release its crown colony from the British Commonwealth, Mahatma Gandhi (1869-1948) and the representatives of his Congress Party boycott the conference. They insist on the country’s complete independence. Because of the boycott by the most important representatives of Indian interests, the London Conference ends without any result.
