The countries joined in the war against the Third Reich during the Second World War included the United States (under President Franklin D. Roosevelt and after April 1945 Harry S. Truman), the Soviet Union (under Josef Stalin), Great Britain (under Prime Minister Winston Churchill) and France (since 1945 under State President Charles de Gaulle).
