Entente's war objectives announced

On 10 January 1917, the Entente powers announce their war objectives. Among them are the „total defeat of the German Reich“ and the return of Alsace-Lorraine to France. Accordingly, Germany’s position in world politics should be severely limited, its colonies partitioned, and the Reich fleet scuttled.
