GDR stamp honouring it's famous dramatist Bertolt Brecht: „... the victory of reason can only be the victory of the reasonable ...“

People engaged in the cultural sectors of both German states convene in Leipzig on 16 May 1951 for the 1st German Cultural Congress. The participants – among them Bertolt Brecht – agree on founding a coordinating committee for the advancement of future discussions between artists from the Federal Republic of Germany and the GDR.
