On 4 July 1926 in Weimar (Thuringia), the National Socialist German Workers’ Party (NSDAP) convenes the first party convention since its refounding in February 1925. In 1923, Thuringia was the only state in the German Reich which did not issue a public speaking ban against Adolf Hitler.
