Passive resistance is ended
On 26 September 1923, Reich Chancellor Gustav Stresemann (DVP) declares the „passive resistance“ against the allied occupation of the Ruhr District to be over. In light of the catastrophic economic situation exacerbated by unrest in the Ruhr District, the government sees no other alternative.
