Reich Labour Service implemented

Since 26 June 1935 all men and women between the ages of 18 and 25 are required by law to complete six months of labour service. This is meant to reduce the high unemployment in Germany and strengthen the population’s sense of community. The „Reich Labour Service“ is principally active in road construction and in the armament industry.
