Blind obedience: apotheosis of the martyrs death wearing the brown shirt of the SA

Basing his actions on the „Emergency Decree for the Preservation of State Authority,“ Reich Defence Minister Wilhelm Groener bans Hitler’s „Sturmabteilung“ (SA) as well as his „Schutzstaffel“ (SS) on 13 April 1932. The government of Federal Chancellor Heinrich Brüning (Centre) fears a coup attempt by these radical right-wing organisations. This measure is also supposed to put a stop to the increasing political terror in the streets. As soon as two months later, the ban will be lifted again.
