The Allies’ Berlin Declaration

With the signing of the „Berlin Declaration“ the four victorious powers of the Second World War assume supreme governing authority in Germany. This is exercised by the „Allied Control Council“ with headquarters in Berlin. Within its borders of 1937 the German Reich is divided into four occupation zones and the capital city Berlin into four sectors under the command of an inter-allied military headquarter.
