By order of the Federal President Willy Brandt is given a state funeral in the Berlin Reichstag building - the first democratic statesman so honored since Gustav Stresemann. Heads of state and representatives of governments and statesmen from throughout the world accord him his last honor.
Willy Brandt finds his last resting place in the Waldfriedhof in Berlin-Zehlendorf.
