After lengthy consultations the Young Plan is signed on 7 June in Paris. It provides for annual reparation payments of approximately 2 billion gold marks by the German Reich for a period of 58 years. One advantage for Germany is that its creditor nations abandon their rights to economic control over the country which the 1924 Dawes Plan had granted them.
